Garnet

Garnets arise in every color apart from blue and most varieties are named for their color. Rhodolite is a purplish red; hessonite is the name for an orange, cinnamon, or even pinkish variety.
Gemstone

Today, the ordinary definition of a gemstone is any precious or semi-precious stone, rock or mineral. The explicit meaning of a gemstone is a precious stone: diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald and other precious opal.
Gold

A precious metal that does not oxidize or the tarnish as most other metals do. It has been used for over 6500 years in coins, jewelry and ornamental objects. Gold is extremely malleable and could be melted and cast into both small and large objects.

Used to explain a gemstone's luster. Some gems that orbit a greasy luster are: nephrite jade, jadeite, soapstone, and also talc.
