National Museum Of Iraq
The national museum of Iraq is a museum located in Baghdad, Iraq established in 1923 AD. It contains priceless relics from Mesopotamian civilization, of which thousands of collections were looted in 2003 Iraq war. The museum was established by the British traveler and author Gertrude bell and it opened shortly before her death in 1926. The origin name of the museum was Baghdad archaeological museum. The national museum of Iraq collections were the one among the world most important fine collections. The British connection with the museum exhibit important artifacts from over 5000 years long history of Mesopotamia in 28 galleries and vaults. On February 23 2009, the museum was reopened by Iraqi prime minister al-maliki with half of the looted content. The museum has been renewed by adding additional rooms and more than 12 different countries are helping the museum.

The most spectacular discovery in Mesopotamian archaeology was exhibited in the national museum of Iraq. The collection includes full treasure of gold jewelry and objects made out of precious stones. Large armlets, anklets in gold, gold pitcher, necklace with almond shaped pendants, headdress, crystal quartz vessel, gold cuffs, gold armlets with loin head, bowl, gold crown and more ornaments made in gold and precious stones.
