The mint museum of craft + design is a part of mint museums in charlotte, North Carolina. It collects artistic craft in glass, metal, fiber, wood, clay, jewelry and furniture. The contemporary jewelry collection includes framework of 20th and 21st century art. Approximately, it has 275 pieces of jewelry spanning the 1960s through today. The ornaments on exhibition include necklaces, bracelets, brooches, earrings and rings culled from 15 different countries. The museum opened in 1999 and it is a companion to the mint museum of art
