Jacob Diamond,
Jacob diamond is a 184.5 carats (36.9 g) large diamond ranked seventh in the world. Earlier, it is known as imperial or great white diamond and also believed as the Victoria diamond owned by the Nizam of Hyderabad. Jacob diamond is a colorless rectangular cushion cut diamond originated from the country of India. The stone featured with a rectangular cushion cut with 58 facets and measures 39.5 mm long, 29.25 mm wide and 22.5 mm deep. The actual weight is 184.5 carats (36.90 g).
After several years of his father’s death, Osman Ali Khan, the last nizam found the Jacob diamond in the toe of his father shoe. When they know the true value of the diamond, nizam stored the gem as another nizam’s treasures. After litigation, the diamond was compulsorily purchased by the government of India from nizam trust for an estimated $13 million in 1995 along with other nizam Jewels. Now, it is held at reserve bank of India, Mumbai.
