Gruosi Diamond,
The term Gruosi diamond originated from fawaz gruosi, the renowned Swiss jewelry. Gruosi diamond is a heart shape black diamond weighing 115.34 carats. It is the 4th biggest faceted black diamond in the world after 160.18 carat emerald cut table of Islam diamond. In 1998, the stone was fetched from India weighing 300.12 carats.
Gruosi diamond has tricky cut and posed a serious challenge to the cutters. It was originally planned to have an oval shape, but the cut progressed into a heart shaped stone. The stone three years to cut, polished and change into a desire shape. As the cutting of the stone gets over, the gem was 115.34 carat with a loss of weight of 184.78 carats.
