Dresden White Diamond,
Dresden white is 49.71 carats colorless cushion shaped diamond. With an unknown clarity grade, it is described has absolute colorless i.e. D color diamond. Dresden white diamond is a Type IIa diamond free of nitrogen and other impurities. The Diamond belongs to the late 17th century or early 18th century stone. It is an Indian origin from Golconda mines of southern India. The stone is referred as Dresden white or Saxon white diamond which was next to Dresden green diamond, one of the valuable collections of jewels in the green vault.
The name Dresden white diamond derives partly from Dresden, the capital city of Saxony, East Germany and partly from the color of the diamond. It was one of the magnificent collection of jewels and jewelry of Frederick Augustus I.
