Kabul National Museum
Kabul museum is the national museum in Afghanistan. Kabul national museum has two storey building located in the historic city of Kabul and it was built in 1922. The museum has wide collections and it was one of the most important in central Asia. It has collection of over 100,000 items dated back several millennia. Kabul museum was founded in the year 1920s by king amanullah in darul aman area. The museums collection includes objects such as Neanderthal remains, Buddhist stucco sculptures and ancient Hindu marble statuary. It has worlds most significant collections of Greek and roman coins. Most of the museum treasures were stolen and destroyed. The largest display of the museum was the magnificent bagram collection that contains amazing 1800 pieces from India, Rome, Greece, Egypt and central Asia. The treasures of ivory were stored there as antiquities from Kushan.
